Corona 2 Qatar puts Saudi Arabia and UAE on red list

The Gulf state has added six more countries to its red list of travel bans based on the Corona threat.

December 29, 2021) Qatari authorities added several countries to the red list of their travel and return policy based on the threat of global pandemic corona virus, this decision will be implemented on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Will be from Qatar’s local media reported that the newcomers to the list include Saudi Arabia, Kenya, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Jordan, the first countries on the green list, while the Philippines went from unusually red to red. Belarus has gone from red to green, meaning Qatar now has 29 countries on its green list, extraordinary red list now has 9 countries, including Egypt, Nepal, Bangladesh, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Pakistan, India. And Zimbabwe, the update comes in the wake of a significant increase in positive cases in Qatar following the release of a new variant of the Omi Kroon, which is spreading rapidly around the world.
Qatari officials also said that travelers from red-listed countries are required to submit a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival, with PCR test results available to visitors. After arriving in the country, they will have to be quarantined in a hotel for 2 days. No quarantine is required for Qatari nationals or residents who have been fully vaccinated, while Qatari nationals and residents who are fully vaccinated. They have done so and are returning from Green Listed countries. They do not need to undergo PCR test before returning but they have to take the test within 36 hours of arrival in Doha.
