January 11, 2022) Former all-rounder Shahid Afridi has said that if offered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to serve Pakistan as a power hitting coach of the national team. It will be an honor for them. The PCB recently began looking for new coaches for the National High Performance Center (NHPC) with the introduction of the Power Hunting Coach.
The ad states that the coach will lead the PCB’s development programs and will also be responsible for identifying objectives in areas of responsibility for individual players that facilitate excellence and enhancement in skills development. Shahid Afridi also praised former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and highlighted him as an option for a power-hitting coaching role. “I don’t think a person like Abdul Razzaq should be imprisoned in the office for selecting players,” he said. They should come on the field to help cricketers learn from their own all-round abilities.
