Maharani Puri Recipe


  • Two cups of flour
  • Half a cup of semolina
  • Salt to taste
  • Two small cardamoms
  • Almond pistachios custom
  • A cup of sugar
  • Yellow color a quarter teaspoon
  • Cooking oil as required

Preparation tips

  • Add salt, a teaspoon of sugar and two tablespoons of cooking oil to the flour and mix well. Add a little plain water and knead well.
  • Wrap in a damp muslin cloth.
  • Add crushed cardamom and finely chopped almonds in a tablespoon of cooking oil and fry till it becomes fragrant.
  • Add the yolks and a cup of water to the sugar, mix well and cook till it comes to a boil.
  • Then add roasted semolina and mix and cover and put on the tail over low heat.
  • When it is completely dry, take the dessert off the stove and let it cool down.
  • Lightly fry in cooking oil until golden brown.
